Balabanova House was built in the first decade of the twentieth century. In 2000 there was displayed a permanent exhibition "Crafts in Stara Zagora in the late nineteenth, early twentieth century”. There are shown a coppersmith, tailor and barrel workshop.

The spirit of Renaissance in Stara Zagora and the debris of the preserved antiquity fascinate everyone who has a straight eye and heart about the beauty created by the skillful hands of the craftsmen.

Multifunctional and practical copper vessels used to be a part of the furniture of every household.
Closely related to the development of viniculture, horticulture and animal husbandry was the coopering craft. Accuracy and specific tools were necessary for producing that wide variety of containers - barrels for wine and rakiya, bucket for water, tubs for cheese, and others.
